I would like to have one search on the site that would be able to index EasySocial, EasyDiscuss, EasyBlog and also any Joomla articles (or maybe K2 items) and also hopefully YooRecipe items. Can this be done by somehow plugging Joomla Smart Search into the search field of the EasySocial Home Page Toolbar?

If so are there instructions or a video yet on this?

Thanks, Sean Carney
Hi Sean,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

With EasySocial 1.2.x, it is already possible to search contents outside of EasySocial, e.g EasyBlog, Joomla article or K2 items. All you need to do is to install finder plugins for these item and then go to your Joomla backend under smart search component and run the index process. You will then able to find these items from your EasySocial toolbar search

Hope this help and have a nice day

Thank you. I have it all set up and working except for the YooRecipe because I do not believe that have a 'finder' plug-in yet. I have requested one on their support forum. :-)

Hi Sean,

Thanks for the heads up. Yup, once you've the finder plugin for your YooRecipe, you will then able to search them from EasySocial

Have a nice day
