Can I limit the length of email notifications?

I'd like users that get email notifications to only see some intro text and have to go to the forum to read the entire post. Is there a setting for this?

It has been a while since the question was asked...

Has this been implemented in EasyDiscuss? If not, could you please explain the "hack" to do this manually...

Hello Tim,

Do you referring to the "limit the length of email notifications?"
We have implement this feature in EasyDiscuss. You can configure this at: Joomla > Components > EasyDiscuss > Settings > General > Maintanance > Maximum limit of character.

Please be advise.
