Hi, I'm just wondering if it's possible to have two separate installations of EasyDiscuss on a single website or, alternatively, a way to limit (from the backend) the discussions a person sees based on their membership in one group or another.

The background is that I have a single website that I would like to send two different groups of people to in order to access a discussion forum. The subject matter will be completely different and, as I said, the members will also be completely different. Is it possible to set it up so that the members of Group A don't have to wade through the categories and discussions of Group B in order to see the content their interested in? And vice versa? Or is the only way to do that to have two separate categories, GroupA and GroupB that are password protected (or something)?
Hello,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Unfortunately it is not possible to have 2 different installation of EasyDiscuss in 1 site. It is however possible to restrict usage based on categories and user group. You can check this out in backend -> EasyDiscuss -> Categories -> select category -> Permission. Alternatively you can also checkout backend -> EasyDiscuss -> ACL -> select group Hope this helps.

Thanks!
