Just getting used to more of EasySocial's Awesomeness.

When a person comments, or likes, an item on the activity stream, is there a setting I'm missing anywhere that would show that activity on their stream too?... so for example if I comment on someone's 'Share What's New' entry, can my stream get a "Bob commented on John's Post" kind of thing?
Hello Andy ,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Yes, you're right, regarding the comment/like activity stream will not show in your activity log page in current system.

We will see if we can include this in the future.

Instead of creating individual stream items for a like, perhaps it could simply "bump the steam item to the top" of the activity feed? The feed item displays the likes below anyways and should show the most recent ones first. This allows for the "who liked it" to be visible, makes more presence for good content, and does not require additional stream items to be generated hence making the feed less cluttered if implemented in this fashion. Regarding comments, that part is debatable in terms of whether to generate individual stream items for them or have them simply have the commented item bumped up. Will have to think on that one.

Hello Josh,

By default, if you have the stream configured to be ordered by "last modified", any actions performed on a stream item would bump the stream item back to the top. Take a look at my screen shot here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-11-29_1526.png

What Andy suggested (we have also thought about the same idea) makes sense too but in the end, we did thought that it's going to flood your stream assuming that if you like a photo and a stream item is generated, and another user likes your action, there will be tons of actions everywhere on the stream that doesn't really help benefit the community at all

Thanks for pointing out that option. I've seen it, but didn't know that likes play a role with it.

Regarding generating stream items, I would think eventually a "like" filter on the profile would be a cleaner way to go. With the method you mentioned above, likes bump stream items so we don't have to worry as much about quality content not getting bumped. Now I suppose it's more about getting the visibility to those likes and what a specific person likes which is why a filter would do the job well.

If we do ever end up having stream items for likes, they are going to need to be consolidated per user per day (or x amount of time). I have times where a single friend likes about 30 of my photos. I go to a lot of places which is why I can have so many unique scenes in a single album. The user's profile would be completely flooded with "user likes" that it would actually discourage people from liking things or at least make them do it less if they are not consolidated. Just giving my two cents.

Hello Josh,

I don't think this will be happening because if we ever introduce this, it will also increase the load on the server.
