Hi
I have successfully set up cron job and am able to post a blog by email. currently it defaults to uncategorised. Is there any way to put a category into the subject line or body of an email so that it appears in a specific category, rather than uncategorised?

Thanks

Barry
Hi there,

In order for you to achieved that, you have to go to Backend>Components>Easyblog>Settings>Mailbox Posting>Publishing Optionsas shown https://screencast.com/t/2hvuWvAO and change them. Hope this helps

Hi

thanks for this.

I had found that option. But not quite what I want to do. If I have 3 different categories, I want to be able to choose one of those categories while sending the email so it goes into that category.

How do I do that?

Hi there,

Sorry for the confusion above.

I want to be able to choose one of those categories while sending the email so it goes into that category.

Unfortunately, we cant achieved that currently. You need to pre-define the category before you can execute the remote email publishing I am sorry for any inconvenience.

But, maybe you can try to use different platform of remote publisher, that can call those category and select them as you can see on our documentations
