Is there a possibility to switch the time and date format of the calendar / events to a German format?

Thanks for your support!
Hello Horst,

You can actually configure the time format of the calendar app in the settings as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/N40I5en5ZCiH

I am really sorry but not too sure what you mean by German format. Can you please advise?

Hi Mark,

e.g. 9th Jan 6pm is the format at the moment - I would like to have 9. Januar 18 Uhr

Thanks for your feedback,

Horst

Hi,

Which section are you referring to? Because the date is structured using PHP/Joomla library, and it should be using PHP/Joomla region language to construct the language.

Hi Jason,

I mean e. g. upcoming events in the stream or the listed events in the side bar. Do I have to change the Joomla settings?

Thanks for your support!

Hi,

If your server locale is set to German, text like Months should be in German.

If this is not the case do provide us your site access and FTP access so that we can investigate.

Hi,

I've modified the file at /media/com_easysocial/apps/user/calendar/themes/default/streams/create.content.php line 24 and 25 to reflect the format that you want.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for your support. Activity stream is working fine now, but on the left side the date is still in the old format. Please see my attached file.

I've applied the patch for the sidebar. Can you give it a try again?

Hi Jason, thanks for your support! There are still two other views where the time format is "wrong". Please have a look at my screenshots...

Are those changes you made all gone when updating or will there be a possibility to set those settings in backend in the next release?

Hi,

I've changed for the format in the first screenshot, while in the second screenshot it is not possible to change it at this moment.

Unfortunately, the word 'Uhr' is not supported in datetime language strings now so all of the changes that I've made are custom changes on your site only.

We will see if we can include the format settings in the next version.
