Based on what i checked this blog post on your site, it seems like that button permalink doesn't set it yet, you can check my attached screenshot below.

Perhaps you can try update permalink URL into that button and see how it goes.

If the issue still persists, perhaps you can share with us what permalink you would like to set it from the blog post?

we did try to link it and it does not work. please be of assistance as to what we are doing wrong? we would like to link it to the page Derek Hendrikz

Currently i am not really sure why you unable to set that permalink from that button yet, because i did tried to add https://google.com into that button, it did work for me.

You can access that blog post and click on that button, it will open the new tab and show Google page.
