Hi Everyone,
I have migrated my old site to a new one and imported the old posts back in via phpmyadmin, now unfortunately the posts have come up as guests. When i try to bulk change author all it does is takes me back to the dashboard without making any changes?

Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi Mark Smith,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply. It seems like you did not do the migration properly where you need to import the Joomla user beforehand then import the easyblog's tables. I've inspected that the user id=42 is not exist on you new site(see attachment). I am bit lost here, what do you mean you " try to bulk change author"? and how to do perform it?

So within the backend you goto posts, you then select all posts and click on change author but it does not do anything? Secondly i am getting duplicate posts on the homepage now aswell within the module.

Hey Mark,

I am not too sure what you mean when "it does not do anything" but if you have selected on or more posts from the back end, clicking the "Change Author" button would show a popup like this, http://imarklee.stackideas.com/EasyBlog_Development_-_Administration_-_Blog_Entries_2016-06-02_00-31-59.png

Do you mean it doesn't display the popup?

Hey Mark,

Could you provide us with the posts that you are trying to change and which author would you like to change it to? I have a feeling that the change isn't working probably is because of the database mismatch (Not really sure how did you perform the migration earlier)

I backed up the database from the old site via Phpmyadmin, i then installed the backup database into the new database appending the prefix. I then installed the Easyblog component etc and went through the whole installation process and it installed without any errors and posts etc migrated. I am trying to edit any post that is not assigned to missye.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply. Kindly please find my response to your inquiries below:
1. I click change author and it just goes back to the dashboard without changing the author?

->I've tried to replicate this issue locally and on your site and it works perfectly fine.
Please refer this screencast: http://screencast.com/t/wlkZBke2EZJ

2. Also with regards to the cover images for posts even though they appear to some be saving and others don't with the following error message coming up

-> I've replicate this in your site, and the cover photo was upload and submitted just fine.
