It's actually not a bug. This was a feature requested by another user where they want to display all "albums" that are created on the site. We have two types of albums view.

1. All albums view (In other words any albums that are public are visible here)

2. Albums view (Logged in user's albums view)

I think, there should be a menu item that display MY ALBUMS, then a link on that page to display all albums.

And this is the issue about accepting a feature from a user without it being voted first. Now we all have to deal with this feature, which is not how the previous ES was.

There's 2 menu items and 1 is called "Albums" and the other is called "All Albums"

But none of these 2 menu items show the albums belonging to the logged in user.

In 1.1, there was a menu item that would show the ALBUMS belonging to the logged in user only.

I have applied some fixes internally and it should behave correctly on 1.2.4 If you need a quick patch, download the attached file and upload it into /components/com_easysocial/views/albums/
