Hi.

This suddenly appeared in the version three updates earlier, so I thought each time you had a new update, it would be removed. Unfortunately not.
Hey Irwin,

Yep, we have already addressed the language issues in 5.0.21. You need to download the latest launcher from http://stackideas.com/dashboard to download the latest installer and install it via Extensions Manager.

Rest assured that your data will remain intact and it will not be deleted

Thanks Mark.

After installing the download, I get this message ...

You are currently running on Development environment and your javascript files are not compressed. This will cause performance downgrade while using EasyBlog.

Is this correct?

By the way, does Development mode cause the website to load the blogs much slower. I seem to have this problem now.

What does Development mode mean? The content will be added to it forever so does it mean my blogs will be in development mode forever? When will it be converted to Ready mode?

Hi Irwin,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here.

What development mode does is easyblog will load all scripts individually which is ideal for debugging process and can also avoid some conflict with other script file that are being loaded on your site. You can change the environment mode from your backend > easyblog > settings > system > system environment.

By the way, does Development mode cause the website to load the blogs much slower. I seem to have this problem now.

Yes it will caused your site to load slower compare to optimized or static mode as all the scripts are being loaded individually instead of compressed script.

Thanks Ezrul.

I have seen the options.

I did an experiment. I duplicated the entire content into an article and linked it to one of the menu items. I tested the Easyblog and the Article buttons and found the Easyblog page loading much slower.

Hi Irwin,

I believe this is nothing to be worry about as joomla article itself is much lighter due to the less content and plugins that are being displayed compare to easyblog article. Easyblog itself are already fast even with all the module and contents such as toolbar and author's info section in entry view thanks to the optimization approached during the development of easyblog 5.
