Can you help me fix this issue on my site... I've not customised anything so I think it's a genuine bug...

In BackEnd ACL for my 'People' Profile Type, I've set the Maximum Number of Groups that can be joined to 1

Now I test this in FrontEnd of my site.. mysite.com/test where you'll see I have 2 groups.

I can join the first one as expected. Then if I go and try and join the second one, instead of any kind of message to say I can't join, I get a spinning 'loading wheel' that just never stops....

Thanks!
...and this probably happened because of the bug... but if I now look at my profile page sidebar... http://www.mysite.com/myprofile/490 - it shows that I'm in 2 groups... but I'm not as I can go to one and it still shows 'Join' and doesn't have me as a member.

Not really sure if I understand you here Andy. When I tried accessing SITEURL , it is actually the group category layout.

Am I missing anything here?

Yes I'm reporting a bug and showing you where I experienced it (I guess i didn't need to share the link!)

The bug is that I've set the Back-End EasySocial settings so users can only join 1 group.... and when they try and exceed that in the front-end no message comes up, they just see an eternal spinning wheel image....

Ah okay I get what you mean now. Here's a quick fix, download the attached file and upload it into /components/com_easysocial/views/groups

Wow that was a quick fix!

I've tried it out.. just one issue...

If you're trying to join a group from it's detailed page view, then there's a conflict with the recently introduced (and much appreciated) feature whereby the screen reloads after the join action... so what happens is the 'Group Limit Exceeded' popup appears for a split second and then disappears before it can be read because of the page reload.. so I guess the page refresh shouldn't happen in the scenario where the group limit is exceeded...

Also if you don't mind could you edit your post above and remove the name of my site... I just try and keep it hidden.

Thanks!

Hm, this fix is a little tricky. Will push it on 2.0.7 instead.

OK thanks Mark. Glad it's on your 'radar'

Grateful if you could just edit your post above to remove my site name.

...and I pledge not to make any more forum posts this weekend!
