This was something I noticed prior to the latest upgrade. If a user is setup as an administrator on the site he/she is automatically set as an admin to all the Pages and Groups on the site that are created (which I think is a good thing).

However, if someone creates a page and makes a post from the page and then a site administrator posts a comment on the post then it shows the comment being made by the Page and not the individual site administrator's personal account.

I know there is the option to go to a Page (as site admin) and switch to the personal user account to create a post rather than have it posted as the Page name but when posting comments on a Page post done by the creator of the Page (i.e. not the Page admin) it always shows the Page name as the commenter and not the personal admin's user profile name.

Thoughts? Advice? Thanks
Hey Keith,

My apologies as I probably misread you mentioning comments in the starting post.

You are right as currently comments can only be made on stream items in a page as the page itself.

Actually this has been brought to our attention in the past and the issue was already been logged in our tracker.

We will try to improve the behavior here in the future.

Hi

I have the same issue and had to create a new account for my personal use so I could comment as me on pages/groups.

Kind Regards
Rob

Hi Keith and Rob,

You should be seeing this in the story form which allows the site admin to post the story as the page or himself(http://take.ms/Zcf7D).

If you still do not see this, I would like to check the site but I could not load the site currently(http://take.ms/v45xp).

Please advice. Thanks.

Hi Raymond, that function works properly. It's when you go to make a comment on a story that it shows as the page owner and not as the user (i.e. if the user happens to be a site administrator).

Also, the site loads for me.

Thanks for your help.
