Hello,

After updating to Easyblog 5.0.23, images are now broken in post notification.
I think that the url of the image is not well generated e.g. https://ci4.googleusercontent.com/proxy/zfJO62rl4BC47wryI6T1C3gMZgv0Z1hCnHR1pOq7VGFk4SiGen41yADxEgdhgR7w-JuFsTQDQEuxWytFU6iBsDs80uBDi-4oQLf3zaQvAbsU6SZZncnQUD3fNsEQtl5WXBfgmAcq2rtVv1LRcmHMw-R0qoDUsNiRdYi-zzduHiLbJ-SGgnZcKbBzm2nOaN3tK7-i=s0-d-e1-ft#http:///images/mindmapping/Images/Blog/PUV_et_Mind_Mapping_Invitation_Atelier_ProfitCLUB_ActionCoach_Luxembourg_sept_2015.JPG.

We receive post notifications on Gmail and Outlook => the image doesn't display for the two

Can I have the permission to update your easyblog to latest version and then create some test post and see if the image did get generated correctly after update?

Ok. You can update Easyblog. I did a backup and desactivate the post notification for subscribers only (not administrators).
By the way, my client says that the number of post view always start at 57. Could you take a look at this too ?

Hi guys,

I'm experiencing the same issue. This occurs in different browsers AND... as you recall I had reported a similar issue a OVER ONE MONTH AGO with still no solution!!!

That was really strange is because I didn't apply any fix in your site.
May i know when you view these email on your outlook is it work fine also?
If yes, can you create a new post(contain some image) publish in your site and see is it everything is work fine?

Can you provide us with your email address? so I can try send the email notification in your email address, because I suspect different email client have their own different standard to detect the image.

Maybe it was simply fixed with the last version of Easyblog you updated on my site (5.0.26).

You now have my email address.

i doubt it's the email client.
1. I'm not the only one experiencing the issue,
2. It occurs on multiple clients.
3. If I look at the source from the email, the url for the image is incorrect (created by EB).

UPDATE:
The source of the image in the EB email created is incorrect. It's using a relative path instead of an absolute, hence the broken image. Unless I'm out in left field, the problem is indeed in EB.

Thanks for getting back to us your issue resolved.

Can I have the permission create 1 test post in your site? because I would like double check is it different email client issue, because Gilles is using Thunderbird email client and he also facing this issue, but we already double check in our test site and view email notification from Thunderbird , the image is display correctly.

Remember, I mentioned my client also experienced this with Gmail.

How can it be an email client issue when the email message html created by EB contains a broken image link? I specified before that the image link had a relative URL which can not be resolved. It should be an absolute URL. The email client is merely displaying the email generated by EB. The problem is with EB. Nothing to do with the email client.

I look forward to a solution... .this has been going on,[b} unresolved, for over one month[/b] now.

I've checked in your original thread but you seems like you didn't mention your client having this image broken issue in Gmail client.
