Body text and comment text missing from detailed discussion view

Hi Guys,

I'm using the latest version of EasyDiscuss Version: 3.2.9385 with Joomla 3.1.5 and yootheme Venture

When I post a new discussion the body of the discussion is missing from the detailed view. The comment body text is also missing. When I reply to a discussion I can see the body copy and i can also see the body copy in the front page view and in the jomsocial activity stream.

We can't see any error in our logs or when we enable error reporting.

Can anyone let me know what this could be related to to help speed up debugging this?

Can you provide us the link to your site?

And can you please provide us with the Joomla back end access as well as the FTP access so that I can check on the issues on your site?
We actually need these information so that we can debug on your issues quickly. If your site is hosted locally, could you please upload it to a temporary location for us to access?

Unfortunately I cannot provide access to the site as it is local and it is also private.

If you could provide even a few suggestions that would help us speed up the debugging process ourselves.

Hello Tony,

Have you check the backend > Discussions whether the post is save or not.
If it is save, then it probably something wrong with the template or you have wrongly setting/insert the bad word filter at the backend. Please check this as well and remove all the bad word from the filter setting.

Can you attach the default template that you're currently using?

You are right, it is the template!

We are using 'simplistic' - there are no overrides so you should be able to use the std template for the latest version of easydiscuss.

If you can't replicate I will send you our template.

This is interesting, we went through all the template and the only one that works is 'Timeless'. All the other templates show the same issue, no body text or comment text.

Hello Tony,

The template that I meant was joomla template. Can you change your currently using template with another template and see if the problem still have?

Can you attach the Joomla template that you're currently using? So that we are able to replicate this issues and help you solve it.
Is it possible temporarily upload to a live site so that we can see the exact issue and have it fixed for you.

Hi,

We changed to the std joomla template prostar and the issue still persists. We also tried to upgrade to Joomla 3.2.3 and again the issue is still there.

It seems to be isolated to your templates. As mentioned the only one that works is 'timeless'.

Hmm we hard to tell you what is the problem causing your content disappeared in your discussion post without access your site.
We will glad to help you that, as my colleague suggested is it possible temporarily upload your local site in the live site so that we can investigate on this issues? Please advise.
