I'm sorry but we do not have searches for bloggers, the search is only for tags, category, and blog post. You could search for the blog post that the blogger posted instead and go on from there. We will put it in the request list for review but we do not promise if the feature would be on the future release.

Really i didn't see that coming..
The search is already there but its not working proper when I give exact name.. I get it.
2) how hard is it sort them in acsending order until unless you don't want to keep your back into it.
Its really important for me as I have more than 300 bloggers.
And forget future
3)we can modify filter by recent member code to acsending if you don't want to add one more filter.

Sorry for the confusion, to add a filter for alphabetical order place this hack in
JOOMLA\components\com_easyblog\views\blogger\view.html.php on the line 373.

$filter[] = JHTML::_('select.option', 'alphabet', JText::_('Sort by alphabetical') );

Can I know to make 'Alphabet order'as Default order as now 'Featured Bloggers' is default order

Tooptip says "search for your blogger from the site" but its impossible to find them until unless you have there passport/driving licence so that they can know there Last and First Name before they filter

I’ve had a request from Mary to join the facebook page and when I went to the website to check if she is a member I can’t seem to get into the directory of members. It was very annoying

I clicked on Members on the menu bar at the top – is this not working properly yet? It seemed to take me to a blog page and when I tried to use the filter that didn’t work at all. Then I found the menu bar at the bottom of the page...got to the page I was wanting, but that is quite hard to use also. There was no way to search on a name, I had to scroll down using the sliding cursor which I could easily miss what I was looking for. We need to have a search field, to search by name and category (writer/photographer).

Anyway, the short of it is, can you tell me if Mary is a member as I couldn’t find her on the site.

To make it as a default please replace at:

JOOMLA\components\com_easyblog\views\blogger\view.html.php on the line 367.

function _getSorting($sorting_type = 'featured')

to

function _getSorting($sorting_type = 'alphabet')

I have discuss this feature with the team and we will add it in EasyBlog 4.0 hope we solve your issue. Do remember to save the hacks for future uploads.

Can you bloody index Blogger names with all the **** we index for search from toolbar or Default search?
(sorry! its so frustrating when you fail to do primary Task we meant to do?).

Ok! I am really confused.. Which issue was sloved?

Solution was not even near as it created more confusion than solution,,,

1) Sort by alphabetical- was not default
2)Sort by alphabetical- pagination does not work as expected(when I click on page-2 it goes back to Sort by Featured Members List)
3)Blogger Names are still not Indexed by Joomla or Easyblog itself
4)No specific date for Solution (upgrade)

I had fix this issue and it is working fine now:)

We are not sure as we are tied up on 1.7 komento 3.2 easydiscuss 1.1 easysocial but we will keep you posted on easyblog 4.0.
