Hi,

Where can you define the blog title under the URL? At the moment, its looking like:

/blog/2015-06-23-15-02-22

I fix the menu item linked to Easyblog to say /blog. Now when I click into the blog article, its showing the date format instead of the title.
Hi there,

May I know what kind of character you are trying to put in your title? If its a different wording that english character, you need to turn on "Unicode Alias" from your backend > easyblog > settings > seo > permalink, http://screencast.com/t/g7nLH1FLd9I to retain the wording.

I see.

I'm using standard english characters. The option is set to "Simple" yet its grabbing the date based options. :/

Hey there,

Hm, we need to take a look at your current site setup with the menu structure. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hi there,

It seems like you are using very old version of easyblog hence there might be some issue that are related with the blog url formatting. Can I have the permission to update your easyblog to latest version and see if the issue fix after that? By the way I also notice that you are using sh404sef extension on your site. Can I have the permission purge the sh404sef url as well after updating?

Sure. Try updating easyblog as it wont update for some reason.

I've removed SH404sef. We're using the inbuilt Joomla's SEF.

Hi there,

I've updated your easyblog to latest version and the blog url is working correctly now as it should. I've also created a new test post here, yoursite.com/blog/blogging-permalink-test . Please have a look.

Great. I've removed the password protection so its a public blog.

The title is showing correctly now. The new version is a little different. In the main blog page, how can you show a little more content before "continue reading"?

Also when you click on the article now, it has this blank image retainer which I can't see the option to remove.

Hi there,

Please find my answers from your inquiry below.

how can you show a little more content before "continue reading"?

In newer version we have introduced "truncation" where easyblog automatically truncate the content on frontpage listing to make the listing display nicely when there are several blog in your frontpage listing. The settings can be found from your backend > easyblog > settings > truncation, http://screencast.com/t/8uPPFqLR4 . I've disabled the options for now so that it will show full content on your frontpage listing.

Also when you click on the article now, it has this blank image retainer which I can't see the option to remove.

It seems like the image placeholder settings is coming from your category post settings at your backend > easyblog > categories > General Dental > post options > show image placeholder, http://screencast.com/t/4aichoAG . I've change the settings there to "inherit" and it should showing up correctly now . By the way you can adjust the layout further from your backend > easyblog > settings > layout > post options.

Hope these help.
