Hi, I'm having issues with text formatting as you'll see from the latest blog excerpt below. This is what is seen in the stream and also when submitted to Facebook. Method in in a title block and Mash in a txt block. There should be at least a space in METHOD​Mash and even better if it respects formatting as shown here.

The reason why it not show correct the text formatting from the showcase is because those content already get truncated by default, it will stripped all the html code from the content and it will not display the html text format on the showcase.

That was strange, it should fix this issue on last Friday, can you provide us with your login credentials on our site so we can check again?

Hi Arlex, Okay, you've said why it happens but I not sure I follow. This is an undesirable issue. It needs to be fixed. A work around?

Hmm, what's your IP address Arlex? You might be in the Firewall for some reason. By the way you guys should really have non-dynamic IP's for security reasons. It would then be a breeze to whitelist them,

As far as your IP # is concerned there's little point in adding dynamic numbers. However, as an exception I'll add it to CF as well to see if that makes a difference.

Hm, it didn't make any different.

Can you provide us with your Cpanel and Cloudflare access? I suspect one of the possibility issue is some where cached from your server, mean whatever you edit the file from your server, it will affect anything from your site frontend.

I now know through experimentation that there's a difference in formatting depending on which editor is chosen to be used at the time of writing the blog. The built-in composer shows this: whilst Tiny Mice shows the later. The later is better...
So, the built-in composer needs attention.

The reason why you switch to JCE editor, it show correctly for the text formatting is because inside the blog content contain read more tag.

I already add the read more block into this post "https://xxx.xxx/blogs/brewing-recipe-for-oak-flavoured-beer-50-litre-braumeister-2-4", it should show correctly now.

But I have applied some hack on this few file, and it will not get override after you update to next release version.

The formatting in the ES stream and FaceBook share still do not work. You see the minimum requirement bar space must be respected which will stop the words running into each other and becoming gabled. This happens as far as I can see only when using EB built-in editor / composer.

Regarding the Facebook share, unfortunately this is something we unable to control. Even we show all the html tag on the Facebook og:descripton tag, it will convert it to html entity codes e.g. & , "

It will become as a string on the Facebook description.

Hi Arlex, You'll see from the screen dump that the Facebook Share does work. The stream works too. Okay the stream is not perfect but the text does not run into each other and much better and at a pinch acceptable. Albeit, I'd like to figure out and see truncating here.
The issue here lays clearly with the built in composer and has nothing to do with Facebook. Having said that I do understand it does have limited formatting. At least the screen dump shows it can be done.
You'll need to confer with Raymond as I don't wish to have you both work on the same issue unless you choose to of course
I did actually close his ticket a while back but he chose to pursue it anyway, which is course fine with me.

Hm, I will show you some of my attached screenshot below.

I have tested in my live test site and included all the html code and show in og:description tag, then I try to share and paste my test URL link into facebook debugger tool, it seems like when the Facebook detected a lots of html tag from the og:description, it will directly show '...', you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

This is something we can't control what html code can be included in og:description, since this is og tag standard, it will just display the test string without html code.

Weird Facebook disconnect

Hi guys (Arlex and Raymond),
I wonder if we could have a fresh attempt at sorting the issues experienced with ES 2.02 and the rest of the SI suite?
First of all the live site axus.com is in the root directory and is running ES 1.4.12. (Reinstalled backup)
All SI software except ES 1.4.12 has been updated to the latest available as far as I can see.
A cloned developer of the live axus.com site is in root/aD202 and can be used to do what's necessary to troubleshoot.

The first issue before upgrading to ES 2.02 is:

The default landing page is set to Home in the Joomla menu. Facebook login works and links to login work too.
Then change the default page in the Joomla menu to Social / Community and test Facebook login and you'll see it does not work and the links to login do not work either.
I've tested different templates, turning off all other extensions apart from ES, emptied caches and nothing has helped.

Your login credentials have been updated and you have them on file. I've tested from Malaysia just in case and I had no problems logging in backend or otherwise.

Once this issue is solved I'll try upgrading to ES 2.02

I've tested both the live site and cloned copy. The main menu default landing page is Social. The Facebook login is now working.
However, after logging out and logging back in again the following error messages comes up. Sometimes, it works by trying again and other times not.
There is an error retrieving your Facebook details. Facebook returns an error message of: "An active access token must be used to query information about the current user."

Troubles with your broken ticket system and blacklisted emails are causing too many headaches right now.
