Hey Guys, I just carried out an update on Joomla from 3.4.7 to 3.4.8.
At the same time I updated EasyBlog from 5.0.30 to 5.0.31

I now see that the styling of some blog posts differs from others even though the settings have not changed. I have gone look through the post layout settings and can confirm that they as they should be.

Compare the following things from the two blog posts below that should be the same but are not.
- Font resizer should be off.
- Sharing Icons should be on
- No print option should be seen.
(Then at the post bottom)
- I dont want the "about the author" or "recent posts" bits shown...

(Good settings) http://www.myebook.co.za/south-african-authors-should-we-give-a-damn-about-self-publishing-on-amazon-com

(Bad settings) http://www.myebook.co.za/how-to-make-a-free-3d-cover-image-of-your-book

Could you please explain why many posts have different layouts whilst the settings have not changed?
I have included website logon details, please do your thing. (screenshots attached)

Hey David,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. The settings of EasyBlog is pretty similar to Joomla settings for articles.

They are basically broken down to the following hierarchy:

1. Global Settings (Settings > Layout > Post Options)
2. Category settings (Post Options)

If the category settings isn't configured to inherit from Global, EasyBlog would then use the category settings. If it was set to "Inherit", it would then inherit from the Global Settings.

Since the primary category for your blog post "How To Make a Free 3D Cover Image of Your Book", is assigned to the "Author Advice" category, you need to ensure that all the options are set to inherit.

P/S: If you have installed one of the earlier versions of 5.x, there was a bug where the category settings aren't stored correctly. You just need to edit the category and save it again
