Uh oh. For some reason blog entries are no longer showing up in the list of blog entries in EasyBlog, nor are they posting excerpts to the Activity Stream.

Also, the "home" button in the dashboard of the EasyBlog menu keeps changing so that it takes one either to one's dashboard or to the main stream. It keeps changing, depending on from what page you click on it.

Thanks for looking into this.

(ps do I need to put site details into every post, or is it enough that it is in forum tools?)
Hello Troy,

Thank you, you have a cool name too

For the second issue, we have set the easy blog home button's routing behaviour to default as shown in this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/wv0dv88dn . You may give a try .

For the third issue is it fine with this truncation setting? Please refer to this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/q5ng0YWi . Please advice?

You may do the easy blog truncation setting here in your joomla backend > easy social > application > User — TLE Blogs > default settings, change the value of "Content lengths to display in stream" and set "Content truncation type" as "by words" as shown in this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/ZkTBgWVJTp .

Hello Troy,

In order the blog post to appear in your easy social stream you need to install the easy blog app for easy social.

But we have helped you install the app shown here in this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/NQcEudhH5Psv and the test blog post we created appears in the easy social stream as shown in these to screenshot http://screencast.com/t/HTLIpqqDQ .

For the second issue, we have enabled the home button in the dashboard shown here in this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/9Ei9esxTKX . You can enable or disable the home button in your dashboard by going to your backend > easy blog > settings > layout > dashboard > toolbars > show home set to "YES" .

You may have a look

Hi Ooi!! What a cool name!
First, I had the easyblog app installed before and it was working perfectly, with blog posts showing where they should, so I don't know what happened. Thank you for fixing that.
Second, the home button was already enabled. I think you were in the backend while I was experimenting so I could see what difference it made to turn it off. It doesn't seem to make a difference. See this screencast for what I mean: http://screencast.com/t/UaEG7v9PU4a
Third, now that easyblog is back, the truncated settings are lost. How can I truncate the blog entries in the easysocial activity feed so they don't dominate the timeline with a wall of gibberish?

Thank you for checking on this so quickly!
I just realized you signed as Kheng. Sorry if I used the wrong name to say hi! I like them both!

It looks like the truncation is in effect! Where would I change the character or word count for the truncation? And we had originally blocked comments on entries in the timeline so that users would use the "continue reading" and only comment on the blog entry, itself. Was that a hack, or a setting?

Everything looks awesome, Kheng! Thanks!! I think I posted this while you were gone, so you may have missed it: We had originally blocked comments on entries in the timeline so that users would use the "continue reading" and only comment on the blog entry, itself. Was that a hack, or a setting that I could apply?

Hello Troy,

There is no setting to do that. You can block comment in stream only by hacking the file and I believe my colleague already provide you the hacked file here http://stackideas.com/forums/disable-comments-on-activity-stream-for-forum-posts .

Nik, I knew this was already done, but with the reset, I couldn't find it. I even searched for it. Thank you! I'l save a copy this time. (edit: oh, I see, it's a new post, not the one I was searching for. Cool.)
