Hi there,
I have no managed to get the easyblog integration with EasySocial and I am excited about the opportunity presented.
I wanted to ask about the stream though. I created a blog which is fine, but the whole post, unformatted, is now displayed in my stream which is really unwelcome.

I found the settings in the admin backend to restrict the word count and understood that I have to make the app default (which I wanted to do anyway - and so I did), but the whole post is being shown.
Is this because I make the app default after I created the blog post? Should I delete the user and re-create them?

I have attached screenshots of the blog in the stream, and the back-end settings.

Thanks again,
Rupert
Hi Rupert Englander,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a look?

Because by right if you set the truncation, it should automatically truncated it.

Hello Rupert,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Can I have the permission to update your easyblog to latest version (version 5.0.11) to ensure everything is up to date before we start debugging? Please advise.

Ezrul

Thank you and yes of course. My apologies. I only installed the service about a week or so ago so I thought it was up to date.
Please do as you require, with my thanks.

Rupert

Hello Rupert,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here.

It seems like there was a bug in our end. I've applied the fix inside your /media/com_easysocial/apps/user/blog/blog.php and it should working fine now, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-29_1231.png .

The fix will be included in the next release.

Ezrul,

Many thanks for fixing this. Most appreciated.

If I could just also ask, in the blog posts I see this empty image, but cannot figure what image should be displayed there. Could you advise?
Thanks a million,
Rupert

Hi Rupert,

I am sorry for the late reply.

I have checked your site and it seems the blogpost do not have cover/blog image or content images. By default, the EasySocial blog app will use cover/blog image. However, in a case where cover/blog image do not present, blog app will search for content images. If the blog neither have cover/blog image nor content images, it will fall back to the placeholder image in which currently being displayed on your stream. To clarify this, I have edited the test blog on your site by putting a cover/blog image. Now you can see the stream on EasySocial is displaying the image.

Hope this helps and please give it a try.
