Hi Support

There is something that I do not understand about the stream for Easy Social. If I go to the stream at the bottom of the home page. The last Blog post I see turning up in the stream is from Monday, 14 April 2014 and is called “AE & Mac Pro User Test 01.” All the other stuff that I post links etc show up. The thing is that since Monday, 14 April 2014 I have posted several other articles and they are not showing. I am wondering if there was some change to how Easy Social works made. To the best of my knowledge I did not change anything. Any ideas?

best

Paul
Hi Paul,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue, it seems like there is one period where creating EasyBlog posts did not create a stream items in EasySocial thus, you are not seeing these items. Not sure why this is happening but today I added a testing post from your EasyBlog and there is one stream created for this newly created blog post. ( I am leaving my test post there so that you can see the post )

Anyway, what you can do now is, execute below sql to remove all EasyBlog streams and then go to EasySocial backend under migrators -> EasyBlog migrator to re-generate the EasyBlog stream Remember to backup your database before you run the sql and also the migration process.

delete from `#__social_stream` where `context_type` = 'blog';
delete from `#__social_stream_item` where `context_type` = 'blog';

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hello Paul,

Could it be that you have hidden these "types" of stream? You can view hidden items in your Activity Log

Hello Paul,

Oh no, what I mean is the front end of your site. Under the toolbar, there's a menu called "Activity Log"

Hi Paul,

Em, in your activity log page, if you filter by 'blog' app, is your latest blog entries show up? If no, then most likely when you write new blog post, there is no stream added into EasySocial.

Can you pass me your Joomla backend admin access and your ftp account so that I can investigate this issue further? The username and password you provided in your this thread failed to authenticate me ;(

Please advise.

Have a nice day!

I have execute literally a couple of mySQL com ads to date and they terrify me. So in the sportier of never change a running system… If things are working again now as you say then I will leave things as they are. In a number of weeks I will have more Blog posts and the problem will more or less take care of itself. thank you for your time and i wish you a pleasant day.
