I recently noticed that notification emails to blog subscribers do not go out anymore. I have no chance to use cronjobs. So I only can manage it by using the site reload option.
The funny thing is that an emails is sent out when someone subscribes to a post or the site itself.
What can be done to fix this?
Hello Horst,

Unfortunately without any access to the site, I can't really tell what the issue is. If the user gets an email when he / she subscribed to the site and not email notifications when a new post is created, it is most likely that the post is not published publicly. Only public posts will generate new notifications.

Hi Mark,

That's it. The post is not published publicly. However - it would be fine to send out the mail and then let the user login to the blog site just to let the user know there is something new.

Thanks a lot for your support.

Horst

Hello Horst,

Hm, yeah we are actually revising this on EasyBlog 5 because in the current version it doesn't make sense if the following scenario happens:

1. A guest subscribes to the blog
2. The blog is posted (not for public)
3. Sends out email (The guest would be able to view the contents in the email)
