Hi,

EasyBlog loads very, very slow on my website's blog (http://www.4teamplayer.net/blog).
I get a lot of errors when I take a look into chrome's javascript console.

How can I fix it? Kindly advise.
Hi Kai,

Can you kindly provide us with backend access and FTP access so that we can further investigate this issue.

Please advise.

Hi Mohd,

sure. You'll find the credentials in the Site Details.

Hi Kai,

I have checked and inspected your site, none of the displayed error is related to EasyBlog.

By the way, it seems like you have set your EasyBlog to load all the blogpost in this single page. This will make the loading for this page very slow. In addition, each of your blogpost seems to have images and this also will take some time to load all the images in your site. I suspected that this might be the reason why is you site is slow.

May I have your permission to change the number of blogpost displayed per page to 5 and may I do some truncation on your blogpost.

Can you provide us with superadmin access because I can't access to some of your site settings.

Please advise.

Hi Mohd,

thanks for your explanation. Hm, okay. The website is very slow at all and I don't know why.
Maybe I have to set it up completely new.

Okay, you can do it. You have superadmin rights now.

Cheers
Kai

Hello Kai,

It's a known issue if you enable those social bookmarking links on the front page too and those facebook likes are often known to slow down the page loading time. Have you tried turning them off?

Hi Mark,

thanks for the hint. I have deactivated some of that social things and I think it's ab bit faster.

One question. When I like or share (facebook) a blog it never takes the blog picture but always the "og:image" (http://www.4teamplayer.net/images/4tplogo.jpg).

Do you know why?

Hi Kai,

I am sorry for the late reply.
When you share to Facebook, it actually search for opengraphtag of og:image for image. EasyBlog will first search for blog image of the blogpost. If it doesn't have then EasyBlog will get any image available in the blogpost. You can try use Facebook Debugger to see what is the image is being pulled to Facebook.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mohd,

no problem.

I have blog images for each blog but every time when I share blogs manually via the share button the blog image never appears. It's always the og:image.
For example with that blog: http://www.4teamplayer.net/blog/entry/games/cities-skylines-karte-von-gta-v-nachgebaut

Edit: Okay, it's not your problem. It has something to do with the module JFBConnect.
