I've reported this before and was told it would be fixed in the next release.

My embedded images are being stretched and this is completely unacceptable. This is making my company look bad. I have attached a video of the problem. Please help me fix immediately. Thank you.
Hello Mike,

Can I have the URL to the page that is displaying these "stretched" image please?

Hello Mike,

Thanks for getting back to me on this! Are you referring to images such as http://take.ms/wOHL9 ? I would need to check with our designer as soon as the week starts because if I recall correctly the reason that it stretches to it's full width was because of responsive concerns (mobile layouts)

By the way, could you provide us with access to this site so that I can try to edit the blog post and see how the post was being written?

Hello Mike,

Thanks, I managed to login to the site and I noticed that most of the images are already displaying correctly and you are probably referring to the post cover.

By default, EasyBlog will render the post cover using full width in the settings, http://take.ms/lPRbg. If you do not want it to use the full width, you could then configure it to appear in specific dimensions. I have changed this for you and it will now use the appropriate sizes for the following vides:

Listing View - (Maximum of 400px and aligned to the right)
Entry View - (Maximum of 400px and aligned to the right)

Can you see if this is the intended result that you want?

Mark,

I just went to the website and the pictures are still stretched, and I'm not talking about the cover image. If you look at all the image block places on the articles, this is where the problem is happening. I have attached photos and pointed the problems out with red arrows. There shouldn't be any white area.

I noticed you used the term about logging into the website. I'm viewing this problem from the public side, without having to log in.

Mark,

I just applied the fix given to me by Chang on a ticket I submitted a few weeks back about this, which you can read at https://stackideas.com/forums/embedded-image-module-stretches-images .

This fixed the problem and I was told the next release of EB would have a fix for this. This problem happened after I updated by EB to the latest version.

Ah okay, this seems like it is only happening on Chrome. Firefox isn't affected and this is why I wasn't aware of those white spaces. Since there was already a thread created previously, let me check with our designers again as soon as the week starts.

Hi Mark and Team,

I have replicated the site over on a test server. I updated my login details by modifying my original post, so you can work on the site without interfering with our active site.

I removed the css hack per your request.

Hi Mike,
I checked your test site and this is what I see on Firefox and Chrome(http://take.ms/PzX9q). I do not see the stretched image with the huge white area as in your screenshot. Can you give it a check again and see if the issue persists(remember to clear your site and browser cache)?

Also, at the top of my screenshot, I noticed a white area where there's actually an image caption below the image. However, the white font of the image caption has already blended in with the white background. To fix this, you can apply a simple custom css to change the font color.

Mark,

I'm a little confused with different people answering. Since you saw this happening on chrome, will there be a fix in the near future on an update for this?

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I believe what my colleague mean that white background area is actually from the image caption, you can refer on my screenshot here : http://take.ms/GecQx

If I understand correctly, your current issue is shown this white blackground from the image right? screenshot : http://take.ms/0Dzq9 || http://take.ms/fmHZQ

If yes, I've checked into your site in my Firefox/Chrome browser, it seems display correctly without show some of the white background, you can check my following screenshot here.

Chrome browser - http://take.ms/oIPUc
Firefox browser - http://take.ms/E1F3Z

Perhaps I can help you update to latest version of Easyblog 5.0.44 and see how it goes? because I noticed your current version is 5.0.41. (screenshot : http://take.ms/YE1PF )

By the way, may i know do you have apply any css fix into your site currently?

https://stackideas.com/forums/embedded-image-module-stretches-images#reply-313705

if yes, I was unable to find out this css fix from this file JoomlaFolder/templates/rt_remnant/custom/css-compiled/custom_22.css through your FTP account.

I would like to remove these css code from your FTP server, so I can able to check this issue because those image it display fine for me.
