Hi

I'm new user to easy blog. I have almost set up my blog. However, I'm having troubles with adding images to blog posts. Also have two small questions around social media integration.

(1) Image source. The other blogs I have used allow you to add image from Joomla media manager/ RockBox / RokGallery, but i cannot find this option in EasyBlog. I have all the images I need already installed in Joomla Media Manager, but It seems like I have to add them/upload all again to the easy blog media gallery?

(2) There is no control over the blog image. It is automatically centered on page. Can't control its size.... and whether it is left/right aligned or text wrapped around the image?

(3) I'm trying to integrate with Facebook, but the instructions on your website for Facebook integration do not work because the instructions are for a very old version of EasyBlog and the menus and options are all different in this current version.

(4) Is there a way to integrate with twitter so that every time I post a new blog post, a twitter feed is also sent? Zoo and K2 have this feature.

Thanks for your help
Darren
Hello Darren,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a long holiday for us here in Malaysia. Please find the answers to your inquiries below:

(1) Image source. The other blogs I have used allow you to add image from Joomla media manager/ RockBox / RokGallery, but i cannot find this option in EasyBlog. I have all the images I need already installed in Joomla Media Manager, but It seems like I have to add them/upload all again to the easy blog media gallery?

The media manager in EasyBlog is a separate media manager as compared to the stock media manager that comes with Joomla. The reason for doing that is because we do not want to mix up existing images that are used in your articles to be displayed within our own media manager.

(2) There is no control over the blog image. It is automatically centered on page. Can't control its size.... and whether it is left/right aligned or text wrapped around the image?

In order to style the blog image, you need to apply your own css hacks on the blog image. That is actually the main purpose of the blog images so that it makes it easier to customize it if you are a web developer.

(3) I'm trying to integrate with Facebook, but the instructions on your website for Facebook integration do not work because the instructions are for a very old version of EasyBlog and the menus and options are all different in this current version.

The instructions are more or less the same because you just need to create the application on Facebook. After creating your application on Facebook , http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/autoposting/facebook-new-ui . You need to head on to the auto posting area at the back end of EasyBlog and enter the api key / secret.

(4) Is there a way to integrate with twitter so that every time I post a new blog post, a twitter feed is also sent? Zoo and K2 have this feature.

Yes, this is also available in the auto posting area at the back end of EasyBlog.
