Hi,
Unfortunately our new website using the latest EasyBlog is not launched yet so I am not able to provide a URL.
My question is, with the latest version, is it possible to set the blog frontpage (the home page of our blog, currently set to Posts (Frontpage) ) in a single column layout? Currently it's using Nickel theme, and in the setting where I can change the number of columns the smallest number is 2.
Hey Simon,

The nickel theme is actually a "column" view. You need to use a different theme if you want it to be a single column layout. Perhaps you should try out simplistic ?

Hi Mark,
Thank you for your message. I did try that and tried it again, when applied Simplistic theme, I do see the style changed but it is still showing as a 2 column layout. Is there another setting that I have missed? If you require access from this point forward, I can provide that after we have gone live.

hey Simon,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've tried to access in your site, but it seems like it required to enter username and password first only can access.

Please advise.

Hi Simon,

Hm, something is really strange on your site. Can you provide us with your FTP access so we can check on the core files directly?

Hi Simon,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

It seems like the issue was caused by your current template override. As soon as I renamed the following folder from your /templates/jooswatch-v3-5/html/com_easyblog to com_easyblog_bak, everything is displaying correctly. Please have a look.

Thank you Ezrul! I should have known that. By the way, can you confirm if the latest version of Easyblog supports php7 and joomla 3.5.1?

Hey Simon,

Yes, the latest version of EasyBlog works with PHP 7 and Joomla 3.5.1 However, there is a known issue when you disable a user in Joomla, the user groups of that user will not exist and it may cause issues. We are working on rectifying this in the next release.
