In my list in backend, all blog posts are gone, and when I try to add a new one I get the 500 unknown column error which I have see on this forum. I try running the updatedb task but it just takes me to a white screen. Any idea what that may be?

Thanks.
Hello Ryan,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Is it possible to allow us backend and FTP access so that we can check out your issue? Please advice.

Thanks!

Hi there,

No problem

So, sadly I cannot give FTP access, as we have a custom network built where Joomla is running in a multisite type setup.
I know it hinders debugging ability :/

If you have any thoughts or similar issues you have seen in past maybe? Especially on why updatedb will not work?

Thanks..

Hello Ryan,

To be honest we haven't encountered such issue before hence the need to actually look at the issue close up Hmm if FTP isn't possible is backend access possible? We can test it and perhaps come up with a solution. Also just in case we need to further test this, is it possible to check out your DB by installing a DB manager like MijoSQL? Please advice.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I am terribly sorry I never noticed a reply on this ticket I got so caught up in other issues!

I added some error logging in the easyblog code, and on the administrator screen where blog entries should be listed, I get this warning,

Warning: mysql_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in [...]/joomla/database/database/mysql.php on line 282

Does that help narrow anything down for this issue?

This particular site has only 3 blog entries in the databases, so I know they are there.

Thank you.

Hello Ryan,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I'm sorry. That actually does not help much. I'm not very sure how to proceed here as I can't do anything to help you out until I can get more information on this issue.

Thanks!
