I have upgraded my computers to Windows 10 and upgraded two websites to EasyBlog 5.x.
Now when I try to insert an image into a blog post using the JCE editor, the bottom of the image insert window will not display so I cannot insert any images in the new EasyBlog 5.x component.
The image manager screen does work correctly in the older version of EasyBlog (3.9.x) so I believe the issue is in the newer version of EasyBlog, not Windows 10.
Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
Regards
Hi Robert,

Can you pass me your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on the issue directly on your site?

I just saw the note at the bottom of the post window. Sorry.

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I have more information for you:
I have the same problem using my iPad with Chrome. The image manager window will not scroll to make the buttons at the bottom visible.

The same situation happens from the front end or back end.

This situation happens whether you try to add a new post from the frontend or backend.

Hey Robert,

It seems like your Joomla template is enforcing some styling on the body even when it is loading on tmpl=component. If you can provide me with the FTP access, I will apply some hacks on your template's component.php file

Mark,

I tried it and there is no change.
Also, I updated a second site; surrealrealities.com. same admin id and password. This site has a different template from a different vendor but has same issue. I will set up ftp access and get back to you.

I have tried Edge, Foxfire and Chrome on my laptop as well as chrome on my iPad. I see no change. I notice on the ipad that I can scroll the layers below the image manager window even though they are not active but the active image manager window will not scroll. I cannot get to the insert buttons below.

I just noticed the 'link' window acts the same. I cannot move the link window at all but when I try, the inactive window below moves instead.

Mark,
I tried it again. No change. I also tried it on another machine. Dell laptop running Windows 8.1. Same problem. Basically the pop up windows are not working correctly. Whether it is the 'image manager' or 'Add link' pop up. They seem to be anchored in position and won't move.

Hey Robert,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Can you take a look of my video here : http://screencast.com/t/iqLQrvBS (I test in Windows 8.1 )

Do you mean you still have the issue when you click on the `insert image` and `insert link` button?

Looking forward of your response.

Now I understand why you do not understand my problem. Your screen is much larger than mine. Is there a way for me to record my screen?
When my image manager screen pops up, only the top 2/3 of the window show on the screen. On the older version on easyBlog, I can easily move the popup window around to show the bottom of the window. On the new version, I cannot.
Hope this helps.

jing.com isn't going to work for me. All it did was install a program called PlutoTV which I immediately removed.
My primary devices are:
Dell inspiron laptop running Windows 8.1 with screen resolution of 1366X768
Lenovo Yoga Pro3 running windows 10 with screen resolution of 3200X1800
I also have the same problems using my old iPad2 and my new Samsung 6 smartphone.

The problem is not the device. Every device I own has this problem with EasyBlog 5. None of my devices have any problem with your older version of EasyBlog (3.9.x).

If you cannot resolve this soon, is there a way to reinstall my older version of EasyBlog. One of my sites is very active and the client is getting anxious. The other site is just a development site I use for things like this.

I just thought you would like to know I found another device.
Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows 10 with screen resolution of 1366X768.
This device has the same issue with EasyBlog5 and also runs the older version without issue.

This is the free version which saved a swf file on my device. When I attach it to this message, I get an error. Do you need the file? if so, is there a way to send it to you?

Thanks

Hey Robert,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. How big is the file size that you are uploading here? Could you upload via Jing? You can just create an account at screencast and it'll upload to screen cast.

Alternatively, what you could do is to upload the SWF file to your site and share the link with me

Hi Robert,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

Ah I see the real issue here and I am able to replicate this in my pc with lower resolution. There are two way of fixing this so far. One is to change the popup behavior from "inline popup" to "open in a new window" popup where it should like this, http://screencast.com/t/Vp1Adozjb . You can change the settings from your backend > JCE > Editor profiles > default > features & layout > additional features at the bottom of the page, http://screencast.com/t/zQfvahlfkJO5 .

Another method is to introduce scrolling inside the popup so you can scroll it up to see the hidden button, http://screencast.com/t/z3jYk4AmYx3X . You can try to apply the css code below inside your custom.css and see how it goes.
.ui-jce .ui-dialog {
overflow: scroll;
height: 100% !important;
}

Hope these help.

Ezrul,
Editing the JCE editor profile seems to work (for now). Now I have to walk each blogger through the process of editing their default profile. (Not cool).
I tried cutting and pasting the css code you provided for my custom css file but it had no effect. I may have done it wrong because the '{' &'}' were the wrong color in the editor.
I REALLY hope you will consider fixing this bug in EasyBlog 5 (EasyBlog 3.9.x did have this problem) But we will work with it like this for now.
Thank you for all your help.
Sorry to cause so much trouble.

Bob

Hi Robert,

Thank you for your concern and kind suggestion. We will try to introduce back the old editor style in easyblog 5.1 later on like we have in easyblog 3.9 since many of our user are preferring that over the new composer. Nevertheless glad to hear that your issue has been resolved now.
