Hi,

I edit blogs and post them, so we don't have users posting their own material. That said, how can I create bylines (authors), without creating new users?

Thanks,
Brianne
Hi Brianne,

Sorry, I'm not quite get what you mean by
how can I create bylines (authors), without creating new users?

Do you mean you want to change the author of the blog post? https://www.screencast.com/t/a5fyOi0cqFHL
Can you elaborate more on this, perhaps with some screenshot might help us a lot

No. I just want the author's name to show, without having to make them a user. How can I do this?

Hi Brianne,

Perhaps you can make custom field in your post? Like this (end result) https://www.screencast.com/t/NCdyNJZphf6d
If you prefer this suggestion, follow this step:
1. Create custom field groups (Custom fields>groups)
2. Create fields (custom fields>fields) -use textbox https://www.screencast.com/t/vGbdVMgtWU9B
3. Assign category to use this custom field (Categories>select category>details>select custom field): https://www.screencast.com/t/C3epJzCmC
4. Once all is done you can choose it in the composer on the fields tab: https://www.screencast.com/t/kctTxrq2

Hope this helps
