Is it possible for users to be able to block groups? A user reported to me that while they blocked a user, they are still seeing posts from that user because the user is posting to a group that they aren't in.
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Currently user doesn't have this such permission to block the existing group.

Actually i still feel a little bit lost here, do you mean your site moderator/admin blocked one of the group member but this user still can able to post a story stream into the group?

If yes, can you provide us more details regarding this like :
- that user group stream page URL
- Group page URL
- which user they blocked

Oh, I apologize for being unclear! Let me clarify:

One of our regular users used the block feature to block a different user. The user that they blocked, however, posted to a group. Posts to the group then go to the "everyone" feed, so even though that user blocked them, they are fully seeing that user's posts because they are to a group.

Put another way, it's like this:

User A blocks User B

User B is in Group 1

User B makes a post in Group 1

Group 1's posts appear on the "Everyone" Feed

User A is then seeing User B, who they blocked, because User B posted to Group 1

Hi Matt,

Actually blocking works the other way around.

User A blocks User B.

User B can no longer see User A's posts nor profile.

If you want user A to NOT see user B's posts, you would have to ask user A to use the hide user updates feature: http://take.ms/k1wYj

User A will no longer see User B's posts in the stream, even from groups etc.

Oh, I see....that's very different from how other social networks handle the block feature. Well, thank you for explaining that!
