Actually what is a separator block? Do you mean readmore block?

The method you mentioned to add a space is fine. Other than that, you can also use an empty text block with multiple empty lines(this is probably the most common method).

It is also possible to use styling in the html block to generate some space(eg: http://take.ms/DCq4t).

a separator block is a blank area, we can define white space there between two elements (blocks).
The method used actually with br tag is really not user friendly and not in the spirit of EasyBlog editor.
Empty text block doesn't work well... You need to delete default word see this :

And sometimes it works, sometimes not...
HTML padding is what i use, but like i said an editor like Built in editor from Easy Blog need something more user frienly, this is why i say white block where we can specify the space in px.

Perhaps the default text should not reappear when the block is unfocused for the first time(does not do so when unfocused on the second time onwards).
