Articles are Joomla articles and it is different than EasyBlog. Perhaps if you could tell us what you are trying to achieve here and we'll assist you?

I continue to explore the capabilities of the product. It helps to decide which is the best way to structure my community website.

1. Page or Group
Our community is structured around marathons (around 400 marathons)
- for every marathon, we want to discuss about it,to read stories about it, to organize diners/pictures the week-end of the marathon
- this marathon 'space' is readable for visitor, but only site members can contribute
- I don't know if this space should be a 'page' or a 'group' : both can include discussions, events, notification

2. Blog Post or Article
Today, members post their 'marathon stories' with the name of the marathon as a category.
- Do we follow the same way : member write its marathon story as an Article and publish it
- or do we propose our members to use their own 'space' (= Blog), select the right category to be searcheable by visitors and members

What are the key distinctive caracteristics, in order to choose the best solution for the both questions?

I believe it should be classified as "Groups" because group would be more ideal in this case. Pages are geared towards directories / business listings.

2. Blog Post or Article
Today, members post their 'marathon stories' with the name of the marathon as a category.

- or do we propose our members to use their own 'space' (= Blog), select the right category to be searcheable by visitors and members

EasyBlog's interface for composing blog post is the way to go. Using Joomla articles is not that user friendly, so you would want to opt for EasyBlog instead.
