I don't believe the Bing Translator is working as it should.

See here: http://screencast.com/t/JIVZy8N2XeT

- Option one (set to Yes) suggest that the translator is on and running and only displays if the stream language is different from the users language or browsers language.
- Option two (set to No) suggest that regardless of language the translator is ALWAYS visible.

With the settings enabled as you see them it is not currently working.

Thanks,
James
Hey James,

If you only enabled the first option, this will only be displayed if the user's chosen language is different than the site language. For instance, if your user account is set to be using German language but the site's language is in English, the translate now link will then appear.

Thanks Mark, I agree that what you said should be the way it is working but I can not get it to work this way.

See the video here: http://screencast.com/t/as7uCLKuD

Hey James,

It's not dependent on the content because there is no way for us to know the "locale" of the status that you just entered. We only determine this by your language preference for your user account.

Sorry Mark, I don't think I understand.

User James post some German content.
User Naomi views the content but her language is English.

In this scenario the content should be translatable for Naomi, but it is not.

I pinged you on Skype also.

James
