Hi.

I realised that after incorporating the "Latest Property Blog" module, my homepage loaded extremely slow.

You can access my admin account, disable/enable the Easyblog module mentioned above and test the speeds. I don't know what is wrong. I think it took about 30+ seconds to load compared to less than 10 seconds without the module.

Thanks.
hey Irwin,

I have tried temporary disable this plugin `Content - Skyline Keyword Linking` , can you try load again on your homepage is it load faster than just now?

Hi Arlex.

It does load faster. The keyword plug-in is for hyperlinking my keywords automatically so that is required.

But you can see a big difference just by enabling/disabling the "Latest Property Blog" with the keyword plug-in still enabled.

The zonal pages where the directories of properties are located were previously done in Easyblog pages, but I found the loading too slow, so I copied them over to the article pages and that sped up the loading a bit even though the content was the same, but the platform was different.

I had to turn off the "Latest Property Blogs" because the loading for the module slows down the home page so terribly. So it is like having food that is "nice to see, but awful to eat".

Hello Irwin,

I'm sorry for the late reply. We have missed your issue. Have you decided to take down the module? We can continue to debug your site if you still want to use the module.

I took down because it was frustrating to access my website. The module made my website too slow to load on mobile devices, so I had to remove the module. I would like to have it, but I don't understand why it needs a lot of resources or memory to load it.

Perhaps your blog component is too heavy in its features which many of us don't use anyway, so it slows down many areas. What we want is efficient and effective.

Hey Irwin,

I believe there is probably some bottlenecks in the module and if you want us to check on this, please restore the module so that we can look into this.

Hey Irwin,

After troubleshooting your site for almost an hour, the problem has nothing to do with EasyBlog but rather, your content plugin "Content - Tabulizer CSS" is actually causing the slowness of the module since EasyBlog trigger content plugins before rendering the contents.

As soon as I turn off the plugin, the page load is back to normal now.

Thanks Mark.

The latest blog module should not be loading the whole content of the blogs as they are supposed to load the cover picture and the first 200 characters. Is it possible to disable the plugins in this module? Perhaps the contents (and the plugins) for the full blog should be loaded only after the user has clicked the 'read more' to access the blog post. It makes more sense.

Hey Irwin,

It needs to trigger content plugins because there are times when users are entering specific content plugin codes which needs to be converted into text.

That would mean that if the blog post contains several video clips, the module will load very slowly then.

Is there any Easyblog module that can perform similar function without encountering this problem? If I can't go direct, I have to go around it.

Worse come to worse, I'll have to convert all my Easyblog contents to something else.

Perhaps, you can consider to have a switch in the module to turn on or off the plug-ins.

Hey Irwin,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Hm, I will see what I can do for the next release of EasyBlog. We'll probably add a settings on the module to not render any plugins.

Hi Mark.

Thanks for the new update. Noticed you have a new 'Trigger Content Plugin' in the module. It works perfectly well and much more efficient now.

I thought you would have the default 'Yes' rather than default 'No' if it were to follow your earlier setting. Hopefully it won't cause too much problems for others.

Hey Irwin,

I guess disabling it out right by default would cause less issues because we really have no idea which content plugin is consuming a lot of process :x
