Can we have more control over the code for the comments? I've posted a follow-up to one of my posts (http://debramcneill.net/index.php/apprehensive-optimism) and I would like to edit it so that when a visitor clicks on the link in the comment, the link opens in a new window (rather than my visitor leaving my website). But I can't do that because there's no "Code" button. I can see that it's necessary to have this control on the front end but, when editing comments through the back-end of the system, I would like to be able to make additional adjustments to the code.

Can we do that? Thanks!
Debra
Hello Debra,

Currently there is no setting to control that. However, Please replace the attached file in: ../administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/comment/comment.php and see how it goes. By the way, for your feature request, you can write it in our Voices page here: http://www.stackideas.com/voices/easyblog so that we can keep track on this.

Hi Nick,
I replaced the comment.php file as instructed and didn't see any change in the editing options. What was supposed to change? I'll post my request on the Voices page.

Thanks,
Debra

Hello Debra,

The attached file will change the behaviour when your user click on this link: http://screencast.com/t/YzlZrJEu which previously it will open the link in the same page. With the fix I provided, it will open the link in a new window.

Marvelous!! I tried that last evening but I must have forgotten to refresh the page first. It works perfectly!!!

Now my visitor won't leave my blog when they go to look at a link.

Thank you!!
