I have 2 issue.

I have migrate Jomsocial to Easy Social.
I have put in the privacy setting before migrate that everyone can see album and photo.
Album is working but when click on photo when not be in logged is not working.

Comment on photo are not migrate from Jomsocial to Easy Social.
Hi Patrick,

I am sorry for the late reply.

Em, in version 1.1 beta, we actually did not have any update on JomSocial migrator. Anyway, to your issue,

I have put in the privacy setting before migrate that everyone can see album and photo.
Album is working but when click on photo when not be in logged is not working.

The migrator will actually try to bring over the permission from your JomSocial. Meaning to say, if your photo permission in JomSocial already set to 'member', then EasySocial will actually bring over these permission and add into EasySocial. Is your photos in JomSocial set to 'member' or 'everyone'? Please advise.

Comment on photo are not migrate from Jomsocial to Easy Social.

This is actually the correct behaviour where the migrator actually do not bring over the comments on your JomSocial photos. Anyway, you are welcome to add this feature request in our user voice page here http://stackideas.com/voices

Hope this help and have a nice day

In Jomsocial it's set that everyone can see photo, but anyway if it's not have permission maybe it's should tell that the problem.
not only that when click nothing happens.

About comments that are not migrated in photo.
For me it's not a complete migrate if the migrator only take some part and migrate.
When migrator only take some part it's make website look that not have any activity before.
I know it's different about activity stream, the migrator do the activity stream better then the original stream.

When I migrate from Wordpress to EasyBlog it's do a complete migrate.
I was really exited to move from Jomsocial to EasySocial, but for me EasySocials migrator is not ready yet.

I want to know if you think this will be made soon or maybe not at all?
I have my Jomsocial with problem, but if the migrator only migrate some part I have to contact Jomsocial and get my problem solved. but it's not so easy to get help from them. it's not same support as here

Hi Patrik,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding the photo migration, I did a test from my end and the migrator did migrated the photos with the correct permission. Before I run the migrator, I when into my JomSocial privacy setting page and set privacy to 'public' and checked the box 'apply to all photos'.

http://screencast.com/t/SLW4GpehI5E

I then run the migration and the permission is carried over to EasySocial as 'everyone'. Do you have a testing site that has the same data from your live site so that i can troubleshoot this issue for you?

As for the photo's comments migration, I will see if I can slot this into version 1.1. If cannot, then most likely I will put this into EasySocial 2.0
Hope this help and have a nice day

I have some user who not want to share there photo, so therefore I not want to do that in Jomsocial.
But in Jomsocial it's have the right permission, it's in EasySocial the rights be wrong.

I hope you can manage for 1.1, I will go to Thailand on 12 December. and back in January 6.
so if it's not possible to do before December 12 I wait with the migration, sure I want to do as fast as possible but it's working for me to do after January 6 to.

I will do some manual migration to, I will do last 50 comments on comments on the wall.
Is there any information about the database?
or maybe better I start to do and ask when I found something I not understand in the database, what you think?

I sit and play with EasySocial 1.1 now, it's a wonderful product.
Thanks for a great work.

Em, can you pass me the login access for these users so that I can take a look how the permission in JomSocial and permission in EasySocial? Or, you can ask your users to reset the permission in EasySocial. To do that, login to EasySocial frontend and go to privacy setting page from the toolbar. When in the privacy setting page, update the permission on photos -> view photos to the permission you want and check the box 'Check this box if you would like to reset the privacy for your items.' and click save. Please see http://screencast.com/t/GC8Mt14h1n

The above should reset users photo privacy

As for the photo's comment migration, I cannot promise you this but we will try our best to include this into EasySocial 1.1

Hope this help and have a nice day
