6 Questions

1. In the advanced search & the toolbar search, how can i edit what is searched? Meaning how can i add or remove what is being searched in those search bars?

2. Can I set up adsense to where the user pays me a percentage of their earnings?

3. I have removed the option for users to browse and install apps. By default I have given the profile types apps because I want to make available certain apps as the site progresses. So I installed the AdSense app by default bu i do not see where users can add adsense to their profile or easyblog. Isnt there suppose to be an area for users to enter the code? If so i do not see it.

4. Why do the locations/addresses in the Basic Informations and Profie Header (under the cover photo) differ?

What if someone that doesnt speak english wants to sign up on my site? What are my options for translation for the users that are not fluent in english? ( I see the languages option in EasySocial, but not sure how to proceed with it.)

5. How do i edit what show on the search results? (As far as users names, mutual friends, or other information?

6. Can I limit how many blogs a user can post to EasyBlog per day?
Hey there,

Please find the response to your inquiries below:

1. In the advanced search & the toolbar search, how can i edit what is searched? Meaning how can i add or remove what is being searched in those search bars?

These are generated through Smart search in Joomla as EasySocial relies on Smart search. If you do not want specific items to be shown on the smart search, you could turn off the "finder" plugins from the Extensions Manager in Joomla.

2. Can I set up adsense to where the user pays me a percentage of their earnings?

Unfortunately this is not possible.

User's would need to insert their adsense code by configuring the app. Since you turned off the app browser, there is no way for the users to insert the codes since the configuration is on the app itself.

4. Why do the locations/addresses in the Basic Informations and Profie Header (under the cover photo) differ?

On the profile page, EasySocial only displays the state and country versus what is being stored which is the full address.

What if someone that doesnt speak english wants to sign up on my site? What are my options for translation for the users that are not fluent in english? ( I see the languages option in EasySocial, but not sure how to proceed with it.)

You need to setup the multi lingual support in Joomla. The languages section in EasySocial only allows you to install languages for EasySocial on Joomla. You will still need to activate the multi lingual support in Joomla if you want different languages to be activated.

5. How do i edit what show on the search results? (As far as users names, mutual friends, or other information?

This cannot be customized currently unless you modify the theme file in /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/search/default.item.users.php

6. Can I limit how many blogs a user can post to EasyBlog per day?

Currently we do not have such limit / rules in EasyBlog.

Not really sure what other items you want to add here. Can you elaborate more on this please?

Nope, they are actually separate. If you want your users to enter adsense code for their blog posts, they need to do it in EasyBlog and not EasySocial.

1. Yes for instance in the toolbar search i want to be able to search users info that they used to register with. For example College, city or state, college major, job...Things like that..

3. Yes but I am referring the the users easysocial profiles. Arent they allowed to have the code in their profiles also. I think i can figure out the easyblog process but the actual easysocial profile is confusing me.

Hey Will,

Ah unfortunately right now that is not possible with the search. As for the adsense code, the user need to actually edit the app on the front end when they browse for apps. Since you disabled this, they won't be able to add their codes

The only way for users to add their adsense code is to browse the apps listing and install the app for their profile. If it is set as default, it will not appear on the installed listing.

You need to enable the browse button. You can enable it in Themes > [Click on the theme that you are using]
