Hi

I am thinking of starting to work on wanderers

Before i spend time on this i have a few questions

1) will this template be supported as ES, EB, ED and Komento evolve ? or is this a side product that will not be a priority for you

2) I have seen that in ES 1.4 there will be new themes, will these work with the wanderers overrides ?

3) is it possible to show author avatars in the wanderers blog theme

4) will the final release of wanderers be optimised for speed when beeing used with all the stackideas products ?

Yes, this will be continuously developed but mind you that this is a FREE product or rather a complimentary template that is available for our customers without any cost incurred at all

Yes. The themes in 1.4 will be new themes and it will not affect the wireframe theme (as of now)


3) is it possible to show author avatars in the wanderers blog theme

You can customize the overriden template files in wanderers if you want to display the avatar.


4) will the final release of wanderers be optimised for speed when beeing used with all the stackideas products ?

It is actually already optimized for speed

I think i shall start working on the wanderers beta (I personally would not mind at all paying for the support of this template)

regarding speed, the wanderers demo is not so fast as i hoped. ie : stackideas site gets a score of 87 on google page speed, wanderes gets only 43 that is why i asked. i have tried it on my own site since and have gained speed so this is nice

can't wait for the stable release

Hello Peter,

I guess the problem with scoring low pagespeed score on the wanderers demo is probably because we are not using any CDN on the wanderers site. It's pretty crazy to add cdn on a development site as we need to purge the cache almost all the time

I can confirm that Wanderers is high performance. It reduced my load by several seconds. (I was previously on Yoo Nite)
