when posting a rectangular image the resizing is not properly and results in a large space above & below instead of maintaining proper aspect ratio.
the image provides an example of what happens.
you can see the original image and the image below shows partially what a "normal" image does, which is proper.
Hello Troy,

You can configure the image behavior in the back end settings of the "Photos" app. By default we crop portion of the image so that when there is more than 1 image, it would fit in nicely (while being cropped). In 1.2.11, we'll be making minor adjustments if you only have 1 photo uploaded on the stream.

am I blind perhaps? I don't see anything other then permissions. I see quality, but thats the only behavior I see. And it didn't crop it ( thankfully ) just added this huge empty space above and below.

ok, mine is set to "yes" which I would assume would be proper. the more "square" images do perfect. Also, if you notice in this shot, the sizing is perfect. Its only when the banner type image is on the wall that it puts all that space there.\
I think it has something to do with the "background: contain" statement, but that's only a guess

Hello Troy,

We use it as the background so that the images would be responsive. We're going to relook into the whole image issues in the future version of EasySocial
