Hey guys, I have been running a basic beta of my site with 5-10members, and I have noticed that the badges get rewarded wrongly. For example.. I just got an explorer badge for exploring 50 profiles... yet there aren't even 10 profiles...

Also, another member got Socializer badge for starting a new conversation with 15 friends. Yet he only has a couple of friends...

So the badges really do not distinguish between unique profiles... I guess it counts repeat visits or convos with same profile.
Hello Jannik,

Yes, it's actually the default behavior because it doesn't keep track of what you viewed and it gets incremented every time you perform a specific action.

hmm, maybe the wording should be changed, because I laughed when I saw those badges, the description and the actions don't match :P

Well,

EXPLORER: To unlock this badge, you need to view at least 50 user profiles. (I unlocked this by viewing 5 user profiles multiple times I guess?... I definitely did not view 50 user profiles)

SOCIALIZER: To unlock this badge, start a new conversation with 15 friends. (My friend unlocked this by talking with 2 or 3 friends max... there was definitely not new conversations with 15 friends)

If that isn't a bug it should say something like instead:
To unlock this badge you need to visit profile pages 50 times.
To unlock this badge, you need to send 15 messages in conversations.

Ah I see. I get what you mean now. Perhaps in the future, we should log down the unique key that is being logged so that it doesn't re-award the user again every time the same action occurs.
