Is it possible to add custom badges to easysocial? and if so, how? i'd like to add a few of my own ones

and can i manually assign them?

Thanks
Hi,

Currently you can't manually assign them. If you were to create badges of your own you will have to write codes to assign them.

Refer to: http://docs.stackideas.com/developers/achievements

..but you can manually assign them to user(s) via Back-End if that's what you mean.... BackEnd Users > Assign Badge.

Hi,

As Andy mentioned, currently you can assign but only if you know the syntaxes to do so.

Unfortunately we do not have an interface currently but we are looking to include this feature in the future.

Syntaxes? That makes it sound complicated... Just to check shared understanding... on the backend I've got a 'Assign Badge' button in my ES Users Panel.. I just click it, up comes the badge list and I can add a badge for someone...

Hi,

Yeah currently we do not have an interface for creating a badge. We are looking into it to see if we can include this in the future.

Jason - See, you guys are even more awesome than you realise! (feature ready already!)

Jeff - Agree the actual interface back-end to create a new badge type (even just for direct auto-allocation rather than having any complex awarding criteria involved - eg just upload an image and description) would be awesome. You might be interested in 'claimable' badges too which is on Voices... having a set of badges (eg Fan Clubs or whatever) that people can just 'claim' rather than 'earn'

that would be MOST EPIC! i do hope the dev's do this, i'm a big fan of easysocial already ( tried most of the others out there ) this one just is a cut above the rest...

Hi Jeff. Yes lots of epic potential. Funny you ask about what to do with all those points.... there's also something on Voices for 'Buyable' badges too! So you can have badges you could spend points on (claimable fits this concept too... it's just a 'buyable' badge that costs 0 points)
