After reading several threads, it is mentioned to utilize EasySocial's points and badges system as the centralize point, if we are to use all four of your wonderful products, correct?

If so, would this mean we should simply disable badges from discussion, komento, easyblog altogether?

If so, would this mean that going into let's say for EasyDiscuss under General ->Badges and disabling badges?

Will this automatically allow EasySocial to run with the awarding of badges for all four products, seamlessly?

Would this also mean that if we were to create different images/naming conventions for badges, than the safe bet would be to create solely in Easysocial where they would be integrated with the other products?

Again, I did read a few threads; like http://stackideas.com/forums/enable-disable-points-badges and a few others, but in effort not to continue the Easter egg hunt I figured to ask the source directly...
Hey Ulysses,

Thanks for getting back to me on this. It's a really hectic month for us here and me especially as we just moved to a new office and in the midst of this, we also had to deal with the previous landlord and also handle a lot of other utilities issue.

Now, back to your issue. I am not entirely sure if I am understanding you here but you don't really need to adjust the rules in EasyDiscuss. You only need to run the "Discover" of badge rules in EasySocial and it will pick up all the rules that we have created for EasySocial from EasyDiscuss

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

There are only badges in EasyDiscuss and you can turn this off in EasyDiscuss.

Yes, that is correct. You just need to access the "Badges" section at the back end of EasySocial to discover new rules on the site.

Would this also mean that if we were to create different images/naming conventions for badges, than the safe bet would be to create solely in Easysocial where they would be integrated with the other products?

Yes, that is correct but these badges for our extensions are already fixed. You cannot add new badge types as this would require you to hack the codes across all extensions.

Thanks Mark for answering...

Couple of quick thing:

You mentioned:

"Yes, that is correct but these badges for our extensions are already fixed. You cannot add new badge types as this would require you to hack the codes across all extensions."

I did notice that in EasyDiscuss they can be altered and guess I just figured they are just the same in EasySocial. Would it be advisable to simple adjust the ones in EasyDiscuss and use them for EasySocial? Is that even possible?

If not, then can I ask... How long before the next EasySocial Update; as I am betting that is one of the bad@$$ features being implemented in the next round.. Unless I am mistaken..?

Just like to know how to get around this.. Do I "A" hack chopsuey through EasySocial badge look and naming conventions.. or "B" do I use EasyDiscuss and hope that this can be transferrable over to the next update of EasySocial (assuming) the update handles the editting of badges. "C" just wait a month or two when the next update arrives with this update:)

Not that I am putting you on the spot... Buuuuuuut, be nice to know if this is planned and how far along and if not planned, if using EasyDiscuss would do the trick..

No rush on answering, just being proactive with the structure of this next project.

Oh and lastly, I propose a new update status for the following:
"I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here."

Think I have read this on forums dating back a few years..

I propose;
" Sorry, it took a while was out blowing off some circuit boards over the weekend" Or something silly..
We all know you all deserve weekends; as well..

P.S. If you didn't already know, your support, is still one of the best I have ever witnessed... Even with weekends off;)
