I'm sure I'll kick myself when I get told how to do this...

How do I get badge award notifications to show up in the stream? I'm sure I've checked everywhere but I just can't seem to find it.
Hello Steve,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. You can enable this by accessing the back end of EasySocial > Applications and click on the badges app. Then, enable the "Achieved Badge" stream

Hi Mark,

I was just going to start kicking myself for missing that.... but all I see in the Badges App are Title, Permalink and State (which is enabled).

I also tried this in a couple of browsers to make sure Firefox wasn't hiding stuff from me again.

Hello Steve,

Ah, hm it looks like this is actually on 1.2 only as I was checking this on 1.2 but in 1.1, you should be able to see these badges in the stream as we do not disable them.

I think I see where I'm wrong.
I got Sherlock Holmes in EasyDiscuss and expected that to post to stream. Checking my ES achievements that doesn't show there, just in EasyDiscuss.

On the other hand, scrolling right back, I do see ES Explorer in the stream. I must have misunderstood the difference in badges.

Ah yes, probably there was a mixup of both the achievement system. In EasyDiscuss we have actually added similar rules for EasySocial so you can just rely on the achievement system within EasySocial

I see in the backend of EasySocial, the badge is there with rules and says 0 achievers. I'm guessing that the EasyDiscuss badge rule caught the trigger event, so should I disable the badges in EasyDiscuss settings and this would let EasySocial catch them?

Hello Steve,

Hm, they both can work alongside one another. Did you enable these options in EasyDiscuss > Integrations > EasySocial ?

Hi Mark, yes i did. EasyDiscuss>Integrations>EasySocial all options are set to yes.
I just noticed something else a bit odd; not all badges in EasyDiscuss are showing in EasySocial and discovery doesn't find them, the badges in ES also have different icons to the corresponding ED.

Probably simplest is for me to just disable badges in ED and see what happens when the next badge triggers

Hello Steve,

Hm, can you try to run a rule discovery in EasySocial so that it discovers new badges from EasyDiscuss?

Perhaps I'm missing something but badge achievement isn't until ES 1.4 according to the road map. Am I mistaken?

In the link I gave to the roadmap of ES 1.4 it specifically says "Badge achievement notifications" as a roadmap item. Isn't this the same as what came out in ES 1.2 for badge notification?

Hm, probably we have already done this but forgotten to mark it as completed We'll review 1.3 and 1.4 again later. 1.2 has massive updates

Right, just had to make sure the roadmap was accurate. The roadmap has ES 1.5 listed to have "Quick registration module" even though ES 1.2 has this.

No problem Josh Yeah, there's a lot of stuff that is added to 1.2 Hence, the notice "Kindly please take note that the list here is not final and we may add or remove any functionality if we see fit. "
