Hi there,

is it possible to make a comment an answer to another comment by editing it in the backend?
I saw that I cold move a comment to another article, but I don't see how I could attach it to another comment.

To keep my pages clean and neat, that would be really helpful.

Stefan

PS: I tried by directly editing the SQL entry. When I change 'parent-id' and 'depth' to a value of another, correctly displayed entry, it is no longr visible.
What do the two fields 'lft' and 'rgt' mean? Do they have a function here?

It is impossible to do that at this point of time currently.

These two columns are to determine which comments are the parent comments and which comments are the child comments of the parent comment.

If you really want to know how it works, you can create a parent comment and parent comment with child comments for both article respectively and see.

Parent comment only:

Parent comment with child comments:

hey Stefan,

We didn't plan to implement this is because it actually very complicated if you would like to move your reply into another comment.

If the user added wrong comment on frontend, they should delete their comment by himself then re-add back the comment on the correct article page.

May i know how many comment you would like to move to another article or another parent comment?

thx for you answer. Makes sense to me.

Currently I'm just starting a new campaign with some new customers (my 'Interal Online Cafe').
Problem is, they are elderly people and not so fit in IT.
So in the moment I would like to simply clean up this section:
https://www.stefan-schoch.de/community/integrales-online-cafe/ebenen-weltsichten.html

where all answers of the users belong to this post: 'Sichtbarkeit der Webinar-Aufzeichnungen'

If we could do this manually once, that would be fine. I'm not sure if I understood the logic of the 'lft' and 'rgt' values.
