Avoid email as username when connecting with Facebook

Hi,

I use the connect or subscribe Facebook utilities that is include with Easysocial. The problem is when people subscribe their username is their email by default. I have to check every hour and change the username for their security and the security of the site...

Is there a way to avoid this ? I have at least 15 new users per day...

Hi,

Due to Facebook's API changes, Facebook no longer provides "username" data, and as such, in order to work properly with Joomla's system, in which requires username, we had to use email as username instead.

There are a few workaround to this, 1 being setting EasySocial to display Full Name instead of Username, this way username won't be displayed and stay hidden.

Or you can set the Facebook registration to full, and that way user will have the choice of setting their own username. You can set this in backend -> Settings -> Facebook -> Registration -> Registration Type

Finally fount it was set to Username : email... I changed it to full name
