Hello

I use ES with JFBConnect integration. When a user tries to register with Facebook (JFBConnect), at the step "Appearance" where the Avatar and Cover fields are supposed to be displayed, these fields are not showing...

Please see the attached snapshots, registering with JFBConnect and registering normally without Facebook (which works fine).

Note that if the user skips the "Appearance" step, avatar and cover are retrieved from Facebook to create ES user profile, as expected.

Thanks
What if you try to register using EasySocial's Facebook button instead of JFBConnect's button?

When you register with EasySocial's Facebook button, you don't go through the registration steps (this is one of the reasons why I chose JFBConnect: I needed the user to add some information to his profile while registering with Facebook).

Hi Altitudes,

The integration was not entirely made by EasySocial as EasySocial only responsible for rendering the social button provided by jfbconnect. By the way, you need to turn off "Import Avatar" and "Import Cover Photo" from backend > jfbconnect > profiles > easysocial > profile import, if you want to display avatar form and cover photo form during registration, http://screencast.com/t/3MLo8FWzQwJ .

Hope these help.

I want the avatar and cover to be retrieved from Facebook, but having a step displaying almost nothing is not acceptable, I guess you will agree with that.

What would be acceptable is:
- the step is skipped
or
- the fields are displayed with the avatar and cover retrieved from Facebook

So this needs to be discussed with SourceCoast (JFBConnect publisher)?

Hi there Altitudes,

Sorry for the delay of this reply. Yes, you will need to discuss this with SourceCoast because JFBConnect is the one that's doing the integration.
