Hi There!

developers.facebook.com has recently updated and now there is a 2 week process in order to make an app, submit it for review and then being able to set everything up on EasyBlog. I went through the whole submission process and my Facebook App was rejected http://prntscr.com/3l8djv .

Is there any way that you can update your step-by-step guide in EasyBlog for autoposting so that I know I am choosing the correct permissions and following the right steps?
Thanks!
Hello Chris,

Yep, we'll be updating the docs shortly but currently here's the 3 main permissions you need

1. Publishing permissions

2. Manage Pages

3. Manage Groups

Boy, their review process is extremely tedious!

Hello Chris,

I was just told that you don't really need to submit your app for approval if you are only using this for yourself. In other words, no other Facebook users would use your Facebook app. So, once you link the app, it should already work out of the box for your own account.

Thanks for that! The problem that I am having is the fact that we use one Facebook so that we can be an admin on our client's company pages on facebook. Because we are a Managed Service Provider we are the ones who set up the autoposting app for them. Now I am unable to set up the app because there is such a long an intensive process to get it set up and Facebook isn't the clearest on what it exactly wants and needs.
Thanks!

Hello Chris,

If that's the case, you need to setup the app Yes, Facebook is causing a chaos over this new terms. By the way, you don't have to request for the "canvas" permissions because you don't really need that.

Hello Chris,

Try replace this attachment file in JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\classes\facebook\helper.php
then no need submit the apps for review, just normal configuration like before and see is it can success autopost to Facebook?

Thanks a ton! JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\classes\facebook\helper.php was a fix! Are you going to be applying that patch to easyblog?
Thanks!
