Hi,

I am just setting up EasyBlog at BlogKungFu.com

Autopost End Goal:

Automatically post all blog articles to

1) Personal FB page: https://www.facebook.com/jungsi.bob (personal FB page for "Jung-Si Bob" - employee of Blog Kung Fu Inc. and FB Admin (manager))

2) Company FB page https://www.facebook.com/blogkungfu (company FB for Blog Kung Fu Inc.)

Here's what happens:

When the blog post is published, it autoposts to https://www.facebook.com/blogkungfu . However, there are 2 problems

1) Only 'Jung-Si Bob' can see the 'autoposts' - nobody else can. I would imagine this is a privacy setting somewhere along the lines - but can't nail it down. We need the posts to be viewable 'publicly'

2) The links in the FB autoposts back to the blog articles return a 404. We need those links to link back to the article posted.
Hello Yaniv,

I am sorry for the late reply. About :
I can't get it to post to Jung-Si Bob's personal FB page (https://www.facebook.com/jungsi.bob) (how did you manage to do that?) - Can't figure out why.

You need to Allow Access & Enable by Default from: backend > Component > Easyblog(click) > Bloggers > Select User > Connect to fb and allow access. Screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/phxk6VFuSWM .

And about:
In general, is it possible to have for each Blogger

1) Auto-post to the Facebook.com/BlogKungFu page; and

2) Auto-post to their own Facebook page?

You need to enable/disable the update Facebook from: Component > Easyblog > ACL > (choose group) > Update Facebook . Screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/QxShTsNpvKEs .
For every registered user need to edit profile in the frontend: Easyblog edit profile --> allow access and enable by default. Screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/pbpQoQb912N .

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Hello Yaniv,

I have look your site and i found that you are using SH404SEF. So I am suspecting that there is a problem with SH404SEF generator url. I already reconfigure easyblog setting and set it to default setting. Screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/NPnVmPlyZuJQ .
Can I delete all easyblog component SEF url from SH404SEF? Screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/kos7cgpE . So the Easyblog system can regenerate SEF url in SH404SEF in your site and see how it goes.

Please be advise.
Thanks.

YES - Absolutely.

Our presentation tomorrow for the user group will include creating and posting a blog articel and showing a live demo of autopost feature.

We can always revisit after the presentation - but for now, the goal is just to get it to work.

Anyhelp is much appreciated!!!

Best,

Hello Yaniv Froehlich,

I have configure your Easyblog autoposting to Facebook, and it work if you posting from frontend only.
You cannot post from backend because of SEF only work from frontend. This is because URL generated did not go through sh404SEF thus URL won't be correct. SH404SEF plugin does not run in backend and the URLs are not proccessed.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks so much for your help. Okay, I tried posting using Jung-Si Bob's profile from the 'front-end,' and it posts to the Facebook.com/BlogKungFu page and links back perfectly.

I can't get it to post to Jung-Si Bob's personal FB page (https://www.facebook.com/jungsi.bob) (how did you manage to do that?) - Can't figure out why.

In general, is it possible to have for each Blogger

1) Auto-post to the Facebook.com/BlogKungFu page; and

2) Auto-post to their own Facebook page?

I'm a little a lost with the steps.

Thanks so much again for the great support!

Thanks so much for all your help and patience.

I have followed all your steps, but problem is not solved (actually never solved), so I still would appreciate your help

1) Your posts, StackIdeas successfully autoposted to https://www.facebook.com/jungsi.bob but not to https://www.facebook.com/blogkungfu

2) Vice Verse for me

But either way, we can't to post to 2 pages at once.

What should we try next?

Hello Yaniv,

I am sorry for the late reply. I have reconfigure your setting on autopost. It should be like this: xxx
I can post to both: xxx . Screenshot: xxx and : xxx. Screenshot: xxxx.
You should be able to as well. The Facebook Integration setting at: backend > Component > Easyblog(click) > Bloggers > Select User > Enable by default: Yes. Screenshot: xxx .

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

VICTORY!!!!!

I tried everything again, rechecked doubled checked - still was a no go.

Then I just trashed the profile and reset it. IT WORKED!

Can't explain it, but we are thumbs up and working!!!

Thanks so much for all your dedicated help!!!!

I can definitely say that to our JUGT that StackIdeas support is first class!!!

BTW - the screen shots provided by you - are those viewable to the public?

If so, can you kindly ditch those?

Thanks again!!
