How do I auto-approve registrations? I know it's possible (I'm running ES 1.2) I just can't seem to find it in the back end. I don't want to have to manually approve every regsistration!

Thanks,

James
Hello James,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Before guiding you on how to achieve this, I need to just summarize how "Profile Types" actually works. Each of the registration "types" are dependent on the "Profile type" they are registering under. For instance, if you create 2 types of profile,

1. Teachers (Requires Moderation)

2. Students (Does not require moderation).

Therefore, each of the settings are available on each profile types under the "Registration Tab".

Hope this would give you a much clearer insights on this

Hi Mark,

I set the both profile types to "Normal Registration (Automatic login)" but it still requires me to approve each new user.
Please help.

Thanks,

Hi,

I just tested your site and seems to be working properly. http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-11-06_1806.swf

Yeah. As I mentioned above. For who need the solution, please change the setting to Full.

Hi,

I actually set your settings back to "Quick", and then only I tested the quick registration and it is working properly.

Hi Jason,

Please check again, my new real users (not test accounts) were not auto-approved. I still keep it Quick as your suggestion.

Hi,

Please understand that, some settings will not affect "existing" users. Users that register during the settings set to "require admin approval" will not get affected because those users has already have a record in the database. This settings only apply to newly registered users.

I never set to "require admin approval" before since the first time I installed ES and changed it.
You can easily notice that those user are the new ones who registered after you change the Mode to Quick

Hi,

Are you able to reproduce this issue on your end? Whether if it is a "test user" or not, the steps to register is the same, and I am able to register without admin approval on your site.

Please re-test this on your end.
