Hi

I was wondering how I allow my bloggers to upload a profile picture as well as allowing them access to the easy blog account profile? Is this possible?

Thanks
Hey Alex,

It actually based on what you configure from backend > Easyblog > acl > user group > profile tab , if you already set `Upload Avatar` to YES, so the blogger will have this permission to upload their avatar in your Easyblog site.

Hi

Yes, I have this selected, but on the front end, when they go to edit profile there is nowhere to upload an avatar to.

Hey Alex,

Since your site is hosted locally, we can't troubleshoot this but I suspect that you currently configure EasyBlog to utilize avatar from a 3rd party system? If that is the case, you need to upload your avatars via the extension accordingly.

Since you have EasySocial, I believe you may have configured it to use avatars from EasySocial? If so, just go to your EasySocial profile to edit your avatar

Hi Mark

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, I was told before that to enable facebook and twitter autoposting, i needed to disable easy social integration with easy blog, otherwise when they go to edit profile it leads them to their easy social profile.

Is this the case?

Also, my server is not hosted locally, but it is slightly different to a usual host; there are instructions in my site details here to enable access to it, it does involve downloading a couple of pieces of free software, but it is very easy to set up, even my lack of computer skills can do it! lol

Hey Alex,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I suspect that was template styling conflict issue. To verify this, can you temporary switch your current template to use Joomla default template e.g Protostar then refresh your Easyblog user edit profile page and see how it goes?

Hi Arlex

I am a bit anxious of moving my entire template to a different one.

At the moment, I don't have a backup of the site in it's current state, so would like to add this in and then test on a test site, once it is set up.

Is there another way? Perhaps when you manage to get access you could take a look?

Many thanks

Hey Alex,

I've checked in your site, it seems like your current template styling conflict with Easyblog user upload avatar area, I already help you applied some css fix in this file -> JoomlaFolder/templates/rt_sirocco/html/com_easyblog/styles/custom.css

div#fd.eb .form-horizontal.clear{
font-size:inherit !important;
overflow:visible !important;
visibility:visible !important;
width:auto !important;
height:auto !important;
}

It should work fine now, can you give it a check now?

Hi

Sorry to have to bring this up again, but it seems that for some reason my bloggers can no longer upload their photo again?

Can someone please look into why this is?

Many thanks

Hey Alex,

I already applied some css fix override back with original Easyblog styling into JoomlaFolder/templates/rt_sirocco/css/rt_sirocco-custom.css

It should appear upload avatar section now.

Hi Arlex,

Your ACL panel looks a lot different to mine - any idea why?
I've posted up the picture online here

Maybe I haven't enabled an option somewhere?

Cheers, Kyle.

Hey Kyle,

You have to click inside the user group e.g. Registered , so you will see the ACL options.
